3D Anamorphic Billboards
Has anyone here worked on those 3D anamorphic billboard ads? You know, the ones on giant LED screens where objects look like they are flying out into the street. My company is considering this for a major launch, but I'm worried it might be too gimmicky or way too difficult to produce. Do you need a highly specific type of screen for this to actually work, or is it mostly just about how the video itself is made?

It’s almost entirely about the video production and the specific perspective mapping. The screen just needs to be a curved or corner LED display, but the animation itself must be calculated from a precise viewing angle on the street or the illusion completely breaks. If you want to see the technical requirements, you can check out https://lumenstory.com/services/3d-anamorphic-video/ as they explain how the content is actually engineered for these screens. It’s definitely not a gimmick if you have high foot traffic, the visual impact is huge.
