Advice for vetting new management systems?
I'm in the process of comparing a few different platforms for my new game room, but I'm finding it hard to tell which ones are actually built for a storefront and which ones are just mobile apps. Should I be looking for specific technical specs first, or is it better to just jump into a call with a sales rep? I want to make sure the terminal management and cashier logs are as automated as possible.

It is definitely better to do your own research on the infrastructure before getting on a sales call. I’d start with the software overview and then ask for a live demo to see the cashier/POS side. In my experience, seeing the interface in action is the only way to know if it will be intuitive for your staff. You want to verify that account creation and redemptions are streamlined so that you don't end up with long lines at the front desk or errors in your end-of-day reporting.
